China's import and export of goods trade

  The General Administration of Customs announced on August 8 that in the first seven months of this year, China's import and export of goods totaled 23.55 trillion yuan, and foreign trade ran smoothly and met expectations.

  According to customs statistics, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of China's goods trade import and export was 23.55 trillion yuan, up 0.4% year-on-year. Of this total, the export was 13.47 trillion yuan, up by 1.5%; Imports were 10.08 trillion yuan, down 1.1%. 

  Lu Daliang, Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs: Since the second quarter, the scale of China's monthly imports and exports has remained stable at more than 3.4 trillion yuan. In July, China's imports and exports reached 3.46 trillion yuan, a high level in the same period in history. An increase of 25.7% compared to the same period in 2019 and 4.5% higher than the average for the same period in 2020-2022. On the whole, China's foreign trade imports and exports are running smoothly and in line with expectations, and the long-term fundamentals have not changed. 

Customs statistics show that in the first seven months of this year, China's foreign trade structure continued to optimize, the general trade import and export 15.41 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.1%. The import and export of private enterprises reached 12.46 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.7% year-on-year, accounting for 52.9% of the total import and export value.
